THE UN MUST REPRIMAND THE INDIAN GOVERNMENT FOR ITS GROSS MALTREATMENT OF THE CITIZENS OF MAQBOOZA KASHMIR: HABIB YOUSAFZAI, KASHMIR DIASPORA ALLIANCE

ASSALAM-O-ALAIKUM!

Vithal Mahadeo Tarkunde alias Justice V M Tarkunde a so called prominent civil rights activist said, “A grant of plebiscite to the people of Kashmir Valley is the obvious solution. If, as a third alternative Kashmir becomes an Independent Democratic and Secular State, its territorial integrity should be guaranteed by India, Pakistan and the UN. That would end the hostility between India and Pakistan and Kashmir will acquire the Status of the Switzerland of Asia. A Humanist cannot wish for anything better" Similarly, Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru the then Prime Minister of India on July 6, 1951 bragged, “People seem to forget that Kashmir is not a commodity for sale or to be bartered. It has an individual existence and its people must be the final arbiters of their future"

Mr. Tarkunde, and Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru had never expressed these kinds of views about the citizens of Punjab (Khalistan), Junagarah, Manawa, or Hyderabad to become Independent Democratic and Secular States with territorial integrity guaranteed by India, Pakistan and the UN. They did utter these theoretical dilemmas but never translated it to practicality. Six decades have preceded and to this day the Indian army has killed over 270,000 Sikhs and over 500,000 Muslims in the aforementioned areas on top of the more than 200,000 mercilessly slaughtered in Maqbooza Kashmir who dared to use freedom of speech to demand their God given right of freedom. The United Nations has a mandate to keep a close eye on countries as to how they treat minorities and peoples living in occupied/disputed territories. The grave human rights violations and continuous loss of human lives in the areas are not hidden to anyone. It has been proven by the passage of time that those statements were just tactics to buy time as India claims today that Maqbooza Kashmir is an integral part of India. Therefore, the UN must reprimand the Indian Government for its maltreatment of the people in the occupied/disputed territories and have its 1948 plebiscite resolution implemented.

INDIA MUST WITHDRAW ITS OCCUPATIONAL FORCES FROM MAQBOOZA KASHMIR AND RETURN THE TERRITORY AND ITS CITIZENS TO PAKISTAN

INDIA MUST WITHDRAW ITS OCCUPATIONAL FORCES FROM MAQBOOZA KASHMIR AND RETURN THE TERRITORY AND ITS CITIZENS TO PAKISTAN: HABIB YOUSAFZAI, KASHMIR DIASPORA ALLIANCE

ASSALAM-O-ALAIKUM!

Until 1947, the Hindus never ruled over a united India, it was the Muslims who had united these states and ruled them for over a thousand years.  As the time arrived for the Britishers to leave India behind, the Muslims who were robbed of their ruling power by the departing British were not fortunate to retrieve their post as rulers of India.  At the time of division of the Indian subcontinent and its 560 princely states, it was agreed by all parties concerned (Hindus, Muslims, and Sikhs) that the state of India would be constructed upon Hindu majority areas and Pakistan would be structured upon Muslim majority areas.  However, the Hindu leadership did not accept this decision wholeheartedly.  The first act on their sinister agenda took place on August 15, 1947 when Punjab which belonged to the Sikhs, was merged into the Indian state.  Subsequently, it plowed on forward and proceeded to occupy Manawa, Junagarh, Hyderabad, and 42,000 square miles of the state of Jammu and Kashmir also known as Maqbooza Kashmir.

The Mujahedeen in 1947 did liberate Azad Kashmir from Indian occupation.  They withheld the ability and the determination to liberate the entire state of Jammu and Kashmir but Sheikh Abdullah succumbed to the nationalist view ignited by Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru and the nation crumbled into division.  The Indian government in collaboration with the successors and followers of Sheikh Abdullah remain successful to this day in their illegal stronghold upon Maqbooza Kashmir. Instead of ending the illegal occupation, to the current day, India is using brutal force to suppress the voice for freedom of Kashmiris. The recent attack of freedom fighters in Samba and Kathua districts of Maqbooza Kashmir was in retaliation for the grave maltreatment of Muslims in the occupied territory. Wherein, the atrocities committed by more than 700,000 Indian forces, virtually devoid of human rights, against the Kashmiri citizens cannot be ignored. International human rights organizations such as the United Nations, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, International Educational Development, International Tribunal on Kashmir and many others document that The Indian regime and its armed forces have killed more than 202,831 citizens, made 216,023 arrests, 110,145 have disappeared, 115,803 homes demolished, leaving 122,827 widows and 207,376 orphans. Indian forces have been committing crimes such as rape, torture, and gross human rights violations of the innocent Kashmiris.

The people of Maqbooza Kashmir are Pakistani citizens and the territory belongs to Pakistan respectively and it is their responsibility to liberate their people from the Indian government.

Hang perpetrators of church attack: Geelani

GK NEWS NETWORK

Srinagar, Sep 23: Hurriyat Conference, led by Syed Ali Shah Geelani, today condemned the twin suicide bombings on a church in Pakistan, saying those behind the killings were enemies of humanity and should be hanged.

"The beastly killers behind the attacks are the enemies of humanity and should be arrested and hanged," a Hurriyat spokesman quoting Geelani said.
The safety and security of minorities in the country was the duty of the Pakistan government, the Hurriyat hawk said.

"There should be no leniency in this regard," Geelani said adding bringing the perpetrators to justice should be the priority of the government.
At least 80 people were killing in twin-suicide bombings outside a church in Peshawar, Pakistan on Sunday.

Expressing sympathy with the families of those killed in the blasts, Geelani said; “It is the moral responsibility of Pakistan to protect life, property and honor of minority communities. They are duty bound to arrest the culprits and bring them to justice.”

“The situation in Pakistan is grim and it is target of vested powers. The US, India and Israel are hell-bent to destabilize Pakistan,” said Geelani.

SIX DECADES OF OPPRESSION IS NOT ENOUGH TO SUPPRESS THE KASHMIRI VOICE FOR FREEDOM

SIX DECADES OF OPPRESSION IS NOT ENOUGH TO SUPPRESS THE KASHMIRI VOICE FOR FREEDOM: HABIB YOUSAFZAI, KASHMIR DIASPORA ALLIANCE

ASSALAM-O-ALAIKUM!

Muslims ruled united India for over a thousand years and were the real rulers of India.  The British took India from them by force, the Muslims being the real rulers before their arrival it should have been returned to them.  However, when the British decided to depart, they decided to divide subcontinent and did so unfairly.  The Punjab of August 15, 1947 which was the Sikh majority area should have been a sovereign state for Sikhs where they could live freely similar to Muslim majority areas designated for Muslims and Hindu majority areas set for Hindus.  After receiving power on a silver platter from the British, Hindu leadership connived against Sikh leadership and merged the Sikh state to India. The then Indian Prime Minister, Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru promised to both Kashmiris and Pakistanis along with the rest of the world that its forces are entering the state of Jammu and Kashmir to maintain law and order and in turn under this false pretext proceeded to occupy 42,000 square miles of the state of the Jammu and Kashmir, a Muslim majority state also known as Maqbooza Kashmir. To this day, six decades later, Indian occupying forces remain in Maqbooza Kashmir within the false claims of one pretext or another.  Since its occupation began, not a single day goes by when atrocities are not committed upon innocent Kashmiris to suppress their voice for freedom.  In the case that Maqbooza Kashmir were to slip from the hands of India, its goal is to make it an independent state wherein it could rule by proxy but at the least to never allow it become a part of Pakistan. We the citizens of Maqbooza Kashmir cannot give in to the aggressor India which has occupied our land and enslaved us against our wishes for much too long. Our goal is the same today as it was at the time of division of the subcontinent India and that is Kashmir is a part of Pakistan and Kashmiris are Pakistanis.

XCLUSIVE: 'They gang-raped my daughters in front of my eyes'; Muzaffarnagar riots victims too afraid to report to police

Tarique Anwar & Khayyam Khan | September 16, 2013

Kanghala/Shamli: Rape and sexual assaults are the usual phenomenon in almost all cases of communal clashes, and the recent violence in Muzaffarnagar and its surrounding areas were no exceptions.
Scores of women, including minor girls, were raped, gang-raped and sexually assaulted in Lisarh, Lank, Bahawadi, Hasanpur, Mohammadpur, Baghpat and many other small villages of Muzaffarnagar, Shamli and Panipat districts of Uttar Pradesh. The rape took place when the people were leaving their villages to save their lives and honour, say victims.

Thousands of people, who moved out of their native places fearing for their lives, feel safe and secure in Kairana, Kandhala and other small towns. They refuse to return to their heartland in despair as they fear more violence and threat to their life.

Daily Bhaskar reporters visited the relief camp organised by local residents in Kairana and Kandhala where they were shocked to learn that women, including young girls, were held captive for days.
They were allegedly gang-raped by the people belonging to the Jat community who attacked on their houses and threatened them to leave the village or face dire consequences.

A mother of three girls says, "Four women of my family, including my three daughters (age 17, 18 and 21 years), were held captive by 10-13 rioters and gang-raped in front of me. I was forced to see the shameful and brutal act.""Two of my daughters have been released and the other two are still missing", she says.
Their daughters were not the sole victims. Scores of other women were assaulted, raped, killed and burned to death by the barbarians who were once their neighbours.Another sixteen-year-old was also became a victim of rape and sexual assault by the same rioters. She said that she was held captive for about 2 hours  when she was trying to flee the village after rumour spread that they were about to be attacked by people belonging to other community. The assaulters abducted her and raped her as she was fleeing her home. The attackers fled the spot when security forces arrived.

Asked if she could recall the name or face of anyone of the attackers, the girl says that one of the attackers was Rajendra, son of Hari Kishan- main leader of Khap Panchayat of the Jat community.
She even remembers the horrific words uttered by the assaulters, “Soni soni ladkiyon ke sindur bhar denge, aur bakiyon ko kaat denge (we will marry the beautiful ones and cut into pieces the others).”
Another 25-year old victim of sexual assault, from Lisarh village, claimed that she was gang-raped by 5-7 men on the night of September 8- the day after a Khap Mahapanchayat was held at Nagla Mandaur on September 7.

She identifies two of her assaulters as Subhash, son of Ilamnd and Ankit, son of Daria. She alleges that the head of her village, Ajit was behind the entire tragedy. He ensured them security and asked them not to leave the village. But as the night descended, he asked his men to attack them.Helpless and tormented they ran to police for protection. "Police thane wale ne kaha ki hum to apne ki sahayta karenge, tum Musalmano ki nahi (We will only save and help our people (Jat and Hindus), not you Muslims)," she revealed.

Surprisingly, Shamli District DIG (law and order) Raghubir Lal told Daily Bhaskar that they are running short of policemen. “We don’t have sufficient number of officers and constables to tackle a clash of this nature,” he said.

The DIG's comment raised further questions over the security preparedness of the state to handle volatile situations.

The story is same for over 1.25 lakh victims lodged in various relief camps in different district of Western Uttar Pradesh.

The anger against the state administration to control the riots and sheer negligence of the government has left the victims seething with anger.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav was shown black flags when he visited the riot-affected villages of Kawal and relief camp in Kandhla on Sunday. The angry people shouted against the UP chief minister and complained that Uttar Pradesh is on the verge of being permanently divided on communal lines, if stern action is not taken against the men who incited the carnage.

OVERWHELMING MATERIAL CAPABILITY IS A PRECURSOR TO LIBERATE THE PEOPLE OF MAQBOOZA KASHMIR AND SOLVE THE HOST OF OTHER PRESSING ISSUES FACING THE STATE: HABIB YOUSAFZAI, KASHMIR DIASPORA ALLIANCE

OVERWHELMING MATERIAL CAPABILITY IS A PRECURSOR TO LIBERATE THE PEOPLE OF MAQBOOZA KASHMIR AND SOLVE THE HOST OF OTHER PRESSING ISSUES FACING THE STATE: HABIB YOUSAFZAI, KASHMIR DIASPORA ALLIANCE

A private meeting between Kashmir Diaspora Alliance member Habib Yousafzai and Raghib Shah, Chairman of Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) took place discussing various challenges, threats, and opportunities facing the Pakistani state. More specifically, avenues of discussion surrounded electricity supply and Mr. Raghib Shah’s and WAPDA’s profound achievements in the operation of the Mangla Dam and its decades of success.

However, despite the Mangla Dam’s successful operation and WAPDA’s vehement efforts, still the Pakistani state is facing great impediments in the realm of development, over material capability and material potential, and prosperity due to the lack of electricity supply whose primary cause is the incomplete state of the Kala Bagh Dam. It is pertinent to understand and question; how can a sovereign state function or prosper in comparison to another state when it is constantly operating under less than 100% capacity? How can domestic investment and foreign direct investment ever be maximized when in some areas of the state load shedding is taking place half of the day? How can the people flourish without adequate energy supply?

Habib Yousafzai and Mr. Shah, Chairman of WAPDA both stressed that it is extremely important to depoliticize the issue of supplying power and more specifically the completion of Kala Bagh Dam. At the moment, the Kala Bagh Dam’s development is marred by a host of political actors from various different regions of the Pakistani state all vying for their selfish interests. All political actors must look past their immediate interests and look to the betterment of the entire state. Only through the development of the Kala Bagh Dam and adequate power supply within the state can the Islamic Republic of Pakistan move on to solve many of the pressing issues that it faces today.

Just one of these issues is the crisis in Maqbooza Kashmir. The Indian state has been occupying this region for over six decades now and currently has situated of 700,000 of its armed and civil personnel in the region. Undoubtedly the international community is largely to blame for the lack of action it has taken and its complicit attitude to the whole scale slaughter and grave human rights violations taking place in the region. However, it is Pakistan’s lack of material capabilities which is the single greatest factor in the inability to solve the Maqbooza Kashmir issue. Not only this, it is also limited in its reach within South Asian region and in the international sphere in general as it is unable to deter the regressive actions of the Indian state. India has a long history of committing state sponsored genocide against its Muslim minority population most recently witnessed in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. However, how can the Pakistani state aid its citizens in Maqbooza Kashmir, let alone minorities which are being oppressed in other states in India and internationally when it cannot compare in material capability? It is an embarrassing reality that the latter has built over 4700 dams whereas Pakistan is severely lacking in this department having built only 149 until today. Add on the fact that the Indian state has a land mass and populace which is many times that of Pakistan, in order for it to achieve its goals in the international sphere and domestic sphere, and, assert its rightful claim in areas such as Maqbooza Kashmir; adequate electricity supply is an elementary precursor.

In the end, the primary message which the Kashmir Diaspora Alliance and WAPDA Chairman Mr. Shah pushed forward is that sacrifice for the whole state at the expense of personal (and it is worth adding) illegitimate interests of the few is essential. All those which are vying for adequate and rightful compensation for the land which the Kala Bagh Dam is situated on must be recompensed. If this is not possible as a viable solution, any individual or group of individuals acting as a barrier to the completion of the Kala Bagh Dam must be taken care of in the best interest of the state. Above all; all those matters which are in the best interest of the entire populace must be buttressed away from the realm of politics, or depoliticized as this is the simple greatest impediment in the completion of the Kala Bagh Dam, the supply of adequate electricity to the Pakistani state, and ultimately, the cause behind the weakening of the overall material capabilities of the Pakistani state. This weakening of the Pakistani state is the fundamental basis behind the inability to solve a host of other pressing issues such as the dire situation of those suffering in Maqbooza Kashmir.

KASHMIR DIASPORA ALLIANCE MEETING IN MIRPUR, AZAD KASHMIR, PAKISTAN CONDEMNS INDIAN OCCUPATION AND ATROCITIES IN MAQBOOZA KASHMIR: HABIB YOUSAFZAI

KASHMIR DIASPORA ALLIANCE MEETING IN MIRPUR, AZAD KASHMIR, PAKISTAN CONDEMNS INDIAN OCCUPATION AND ATROCITIES IN MAQBOOZA KASHMIR: HABIB YOUSAFZAI

The Kashmir Diaspora Alliance encompassing Habib Yousafzai arranged a meeting with the citizens of Mirpur, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. The meeting thoroughly discussed the situation of Maqbooza Kashmir. The residents of Mirpur asserted that the atrocities in Maqbooza Kashmir are widespread and grave both in number and the degree of their severity. Most recently 4 youth have been killed in Shopian, Srinagar marking just one more example of the precarious and dire situation in Maqbooza Kashmir.

Originally, in 1947 India forcefully occupied Muslim states such as Manawa, Junagar, Hyderabad, and 42000 square miles of Jammu and Kashmir. With the initial occupation of Jammu and Kashmir by the Indian government in the third week of August 1947 came the killing of more than a 100,000 of its inhabitants and 2 million of its citizens were forced to leave to Pakistan. In order to increase its material power it also occupied the Sikh Homeland of Punjab, Khalistan which was the birth right of the Sikh nation in order to solidify its hegemony. 1971 was just another stepping stone and continuation in the agenda of the Indian state in establishing itself as a regional hegemon as India further destabilized Pakistan by successfully dismembering East Pakistan.

Under the precursor of establishing law, order, and justice, the Indian state attempted to legitimate its occupation of Maqbooza Kashmir. Yet, six decades later, India remains as an invader in Maqbooza Kashmir indiscriminately committing gross human rights violations. The people of Jammu and Kashmir are under a firm and collective consensus in that they would like to see every single Indian armed and civil personnel withdraw from the occupied territories. Due to its inaction in following through with the 1948 Security Council Resolution that they themselves initiated, the international community in coordination with Pakistan must put diplomatic pressure on India and follow through with the inhabitants of Maqbooza Kashmir’s right of plebiscite. Only through such means can the people of the occupied territories truly receive justice.
