We here at the Kashmir Welfare Society Canada including Khowaja Rafique, Habib Yousafzai, Mushtaq Anjum, Farooq Saddiqi, Engineer Zamir Malik, Idrees Khan, Asif Khan Raja, Aziz Chaudhry, Aftab Butt, Chaudhary Younis, Dr. Azrab Khan, Jannat Khan, Moheed Ahmed, Syed Noushad Hussain, Arshad Mahmood, Mushtaq Khan, Sobia Aziz, Imran Noor, Ifrahim Khan, Shah Jahan Khan, Mohammad Naeem Talib, Shabbir Bhatti, Mohammad Afzal Khan, Mohammad Naeem, Arshad Mahmood, and Mohammad Fayaz are  extremely grieved at the passing of Professor Muhammad Waheed Khan the beloved elder brother of Moheed Ahmad.

He was a revered personality in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. His services to the nation are plentiful, and are an inspiration for us all. May Allah grant him peace in the hereafter and forgive all of his sins. At the same time, may we all learn to walk in his footsteps; he was undoubtedly a man of great stature and an icon. He worked passionately for the development of future generations, generations which he will likely never see. It is this very struggle that has made him a legend in Pakistan for his great services to the nation.

Once again, may Allah Almighty raise his stature exponentially. We not only grieve his death, but also remember what he stood for and how he lived; education for the youth, and struggling for the betterment of the nation. Regards,

Please be informed that all those that stand against human oppression including both Kashmiris and Sikhs are arranging a peaceful protest on August 16, 2015 between 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM against the Indian Army’s atrocities in occupied Kashmir and Khalistan.

India has tried to propagate to the world that by celebrating India Day that it is a champion of human rights and democracy. In reality, under the shadow of the unwatchful eye of international community, Indian forces have been committing grave atrocities. They have killed more than 200,000 Muslims in Maqbooza Kashmir and more than 270,000 Sikhs in Punjab, Khalistan both which are under Indian occupation. The sheer level of death and destruction does not take away from the basic rights which are devoid for minorities in primarily Hindu India. Not a single day goes by where human rights are not violated in the occupied territories.

As such, we are standing up for the oppressed and organizing a peaceful protest to highlight the cruelties of the Indian forces at the south west corner (curb side) of Yonge and Dundas, in the city of Toronto. The protest is being arranged by Kashmiris, Muslim League (N) and United Front of Sikhs. The prominent figures are arranging and joining the protest are Dr.Khalid Taj, Habib Yousafzai, Syed Noushad Hussain, Dr.Azrab Khan, Khowaja Rafiq, Idrees Khan, Raees Durrani, Sardar Sukhminder Singh Hansara, Sukhdev Singh Gill, and Balkar Singh Heir. Please come and support the cause to highlight the cruelties taking place.

The Pakistani nation is an exemplary nation in the international community. No one in the Muslim world or, world in general can match the bravery, generosity, and patience of this nation. Muslims ruled India along with 560 princely states for over 1000 years. However, after the demise of the Emperor of Hindustan, Aurangzeb Alamgir (Rehmatullah Elehe), his heir and successors could not hold the huge empire together. After his death in 1707 after a half a century of rule, the Muslim empire started to crumble. The brave warrior Tipu Sultan of Mysore, and, Nawab Sirajudulla resisted but failed to fend off the British colonial ambitions. After a thousand years of rule, the Muslims were in a very bad situation as they were being oppressed by the British occupier, and, the Hindu majority.

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah (Rehmatullah Elehe) tried his best in order to live in harmony with both Muslims and Hindus together in one nation. However, his efforts went in vain as the people of Hindu faith were not willing to give equal status to those which were Muslim. As a result, he noted that it is impossible for these two nations to live in one state so he decided to push for a separate land for the Muslim majority which was created in August 1947. He and his companions observations proved to be true as those Muslims remaining in India are being treated as third class citizens.

Upon the creation of Pakistan, millions left India to live in the Pakistan. Many were killed on the way to the newly found state by extremist Hindus. Those that already lived in Pakistan from beforehand also showed great generosity and welcomed there brothers to the newly founded Pakistan. Today, intermarriage is common place and there is no distinction between those who came from India, and those who already resided in Pakistan. India with its hegemonic aspirations occupied Junagarah, Hyderabad, Manavadar, state of Jammu and Kashmir. To keep itself in a privileged position, and renamed the Sikhs as Hindus and occupied their state Khalistan as well. They did not stop there and also played a significant role in the division of East Pakistan, and also intervened and dismembered East Pakistan. Despite of the fact that they occupied us in Maqbooza Kashmir, we still are Pakistanis and as soon as Indian forces withdraw their occupation forces, we shall join Pakistan.

The nation of Pakistan is marvelous nation. The Pakistanis are a marvelous nation; however, the government of Pakistan must keep their policies transparent and they should assure to nation of Pakistan and that each and every individual in the country will receive to an equitable share of wealth. This will also facilitate the completion of the Kala Bagh Dam. We want to see Pakistan as a strong nation. This is the resolution of the year for Pakistan; we must strive for the completion of the Kala Bagh Dam. At this moment the nation is burning in the heat without electricity, and some are drowning in floods because there are insufficient dams to control the floods. Factories and offices are not running at full capacity, and as a result, they are not able to provide sufficient goods and services.It is also imperative to secure existing boundaries, which includes giving provincial status to Pakistan’s Kashmir (mistakenly known as Azad Kashmir) so that the people there too get an equal share of Pakistani wealth.

Qaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, May Allah (SWT) be pleased with him and raise his stature exponentially in the hereafter, followed God’s order in its totality. He clearly asserted that moving forward, there is no more regionalism such as Gilgiti, Balti, Pahari, Kashmiri, Sindhi, Punjabi, Pathan, Blochi etc. Pakistan’s are one irrespective of their religion, caste, colour, creed, or language; we are all Pakistani. They are all owners of Pakistan. He also confirmed himself that without Maqbooza Kashmir, Pakistan’s map is incomplete. In his own words, he stated that Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan.
