PRESS RELEASE JANUARY 15, 2016:

Please be informed that all those that stand against human oppression including both Kashmiris and Sikhs are arranging a peaceful protest on January 30, 2016 between 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at Pearson Convention Centre 2638 Steels Avenue East Brampton, against the Indian Army’s atrocities in occupied Kashmir and Khalistan.

India has tried to propagate to the world that by celebrating Republic Day (Constitution Day January 26, 1950) that it is a champion of human rights and democracy. In reality, under the shadow of the unwatchful eye of international community, Indian forces have been committing grave atrocities. They have killed more than 200,000 Muslims in Maqbooza Kashmir and more than 270,000 Sikhs in Punjab, Khalistan both which are under Indian occupation. The sheer level of death and destruction does not take away from the basic rights which are devoid for minorities in primarily Hindu India. Not a single day goes by where human rights are not violated in the occupied territories.

As such, we are standing up for the oppressed and organizing a peaceful protest to highlight the cruelties of the Indian forces at the address mentioned above. The Maqbooza Kashmir is virtually devoid of human rights. To this day, the Indian regime and its armed forces have murdered more than 202,902 citizens, made 216,094 arrests, 110,317 have disappeared, 116,082 homes have been demolished, leaving 123,092 widows and 207,635 orphans to say the very least. The protest is being arranged by Kashmir Diaspora Alliance and United Front of Sikhs. Please come and support the cause to highlight the cruelties taking place.

India along with its princely states was divided under Indian subcontinent partition plan based on two nation theory. There was no mention that Pakistan will be further divided and the countries will be created on the basis of regionalism or languages. We the inhabitants of Maqbooza Kashmir want to see Pakistan as a strong nation for the simple reason that neither India nor the UN will implement the UN Resolution until Pakistan is a powerful state.

Pakistan’s federal government should have more control over the directions of the affairs of the state including its future development. Just to cite an example, because of the weak federal government, the Pakistani government is unable to complete the Kala Bagh Dam even though the population is living without basic necessities.

There is no need to create a state within a state. This is the time to streamline the system. Since the whole division of Kashmir is a legally a part of Pakistan as it is a Muslim majority and because the people have already given their verdict on 19 July 1947 to be a part of Pakistan. Pakistan must politically secure areas such as Azad Kashmir (also known as Ghazi Kashmir) by giving it provincial status like it did to Gilgit Baltistan.

More than 200, 000 people have been murdered by the Indian forces in Maqbooza Kashmir. As such, we the inhabitants of Maqbooza Kashmir do not want to become peripheral states like Sikkim, Nepal, Bhutan, and Maldives. We are a natural part of Pakistan, and we will accede as a seventh province to them alone.

A few so called Muslims are beating the drum to be Kashmiri whereas the non-Muslims of Maqbooza Kashmir are against independence or accession to Pakistan and in fact assert that they wish to be a part of India. These people are ignorant of ground realities. Please study the following new item.

For the peace and stability of the region, it is important to divide Maqbooza Kashmir in a way that the Muslim majority areas go to Pakistan and the Hindu majority areas go to India respectively. At this moment, 42,000 square miles areas of the region and 9 million people are under the control of the Indian government. Please correct the figures above if I am wrong. Regards,

ASSAOLAM-O-ALAIKUM!

The Kashmir Diaspora Alliance would like to wish everyone a very blessed and Happy New Year! The fact is, just as throughout the world there is much hardship and oppression, throughout the year there are many difficulties that we face in our day to day lives. But God willing, we have been blessed with yet another New Year of life. We ask God to make this year one of success not just by words but also we intend to bring it about through small thoughtful efforts. Within this New Year we can reflect on the positive changes we will make in our own lives and on others. As well, we can also reflect on the mistakes that we have made in the past so as to reprimand them.

What is important to recognize is that today most of the problems facing the Muslims all over the world have been self-created. Today we fight one another based on the artificial regionalism for instance Kashmiri, Pahari, Sindhi, Pothwari, and Punjabi etcetera that have been created by man, but we fail to see the bond we share as brothers and sisters in Islam. It is also condemnable to hate anyone on the basis of artificial sects (such as Shia, Sunni, and Wahabi etcetera which has no mention in Holly Qur’an), and religion for that matter. Most of all though, regardless of our past, we should be thankful for the life that we have been given, and we should strive to live it the way it should be; with thankfulness, kindheartedness, with love, and with the knowledge and understanding that life is temporary.
