The Kashmir Diaspora Alliance strongly condemns the illegal arrest of the Chairman of the Islamic Political Party (JK) Mr. Mohammad Yousuf Naqash by the occupational forces of the Indian Army. It is pertinent to note that when India cannot suppress the voice of all those who speak against oppression in Maqbooza Kashmir [AKA Internationally Disputed Areas of Jammu and Kashmir (IDA: JK)] over these past six decades, it often utilizes illegal coercion. The arrest of Mr. Naqash is just one example of this and will do nothing to suppress the voices of dissent against Indian rule. Mr. Naqash all 14 million inhabitants of Maqbooza Kashmir stand with you and will continue to protest against Indian rule. Therefore, it is in the interest of the Indian government to release Mr. Mohammad Yousuf Naqash and any other illegally detained liberation leaders or youth arrested by the occupation forces. It is time that India withdraws all its armed and civil personnel who have been occupying the state illegally since October 27, 1947. In actuality, India entered the state of Jammu and Kashmir under the pretext of maintaining law and order while simultaneously occupying 42,000 square miles of the state. Although, it was unwanted interference as Kashmir is a Muslim majority state which legally belongs to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. However, for over six decades under this false pretext, the Indian occupiers have refused to leave. The citizens of Kashmir will never give in and the human rights abuses of the occupation will never be able to waver the freedom movement of Kashmiri citizens. The international community at large along with UN Security Council must intervene in this matter instead of standing by idly and all those that have been committing rampant human rights violations must be brought before the International Criminal Court of Hague so that justice can be served.

The spokesman of Islamic Political Party (JK) has strongly condemned the arrest of party chairman Mr.Mohammad Yousuf Naqash and said that such brutal and oppressive acts of India and its local puppet administration cannot curb the sentiment of freedom of Kashmiri people.
