Pakistan is the vision of Dr. Allama Mohammad Iqbal (Rematullah Elehe) a Muslim of Kashmiri decent. Kashmir is a jugular vein meaning that it is a built in part of Pakistan without which it cannot survive. For the people of Maqbooza Kashmir (under illegal occupation of Indian forces since October 27, 1947) Pakistan is the last hope after Allah (SWT). Syed Ali Shah Geelani the Chairman Hurriyat Conference and his followers the most reliable leader among Kashmiris has the majority support and keeping the liberation movement alive. His supporters have rendered enormous amount of sacrifices for the liberation of Maqbooza Kashmir. There are many other leaders but their stance is wavering depending upon the circumstances. But Syed Ali Shah Geelani iron man still maintains and his slogan is “Ham Pakistan Hain Aur Pakistan Hamara Hai” (we are Pakistanis and Pakistan is ours).

More than 30 million Muslims of Kashmir decent live in Pakistan. Approximately 4 million of these belong to Azad Kashmir and more than 2 million have permanently settled in different parts of Pakistan. About 30% population of Rawalpindi, Islamabad and surrounding areas pertain to those who forced to leave Jammu region by the then Hindu Maharaja Hari Singh in 1947 and onward. There is very small group who claim to be Nationalists and there number is not be more than 2,000 actually want to dismember Pakistan again on the bases that they are nationalists or secularists. On the contrary, the inhabitants of Maqbooza Kashmir want to get out of the slavery of predominantly Hindu India on the bases of two nations theory. It is ironic that there are still present certain individuals who are free, reside in Azad Kashmir and still claim to be nationalist whereas the people of Hindu faith in Maqbooza Kashmir which make up approximately 30% of the population (as of today whereas they were only 5% at the time of partition) are staunchly against the independence of Maqbooza Kashmir or its accession to Pakistan. Their affiliation is solely with India first.

The fact of the matter is Indian government has deployed more than 700,000 troops which commit all kinds of atrocities against the Kashmiri people in the occupied territory. The Maqbooza Kashmir is virtually devoid of human rights. To this day, the Indian regime and its armed forces have murdered more than 2,03012 citizens, made 216,204 arrests, 110,337 have disappeared, 115,992 homes have been demolished, leaving 123,002 widows and 207,635 orphans to say the very least.

Since Indian occupation of Kashmir, Pakistan is striving hard on all national and International forums to liberate Kashmir from Indian occupation. All peaceful nations of the world are being solicited to enforce the UN resolution as Kashmir is a part of Pakistan. The Kashmiris have already given their verdict under Muslim conference on July 19,1947 that they would like to accede to Pakistan. We the people of Maqbooza Kashmir still maintain we are more secure if we merge back with Pakistan.
