THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS, AND THERE WILL NEVER BE AN INDEPENDENT KASHMIR AS IT IS A LEGAL PART OF PAKISTAN: HABIB YOUSAFZAI, THE CHAIRMAN KASHMIR DIASPORA ALLIANCE

ASSALAM-O-ALAIKUM!

Being a Muslim majority state, the inhabitants of princely states under Indian subcontinent partition plan decided to join Pakistan on July 19, 1947 that it will be a part of Pakistan 25 days ahead before it creation on August 14, 1947. Indian leadership did not want to give Kashmir to Pakistan and as a result, under the pretext of maintaining law and order, dispatched its forces to Kashmir to occupy it. In order to avoid army confrontation, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru the then prime minister to hoodwink the Pakistani government sent telegrams confirming that its forces are not entering in Kashmir to stay there. Similarly, India occupied three more Pakistani states Junagarh, Manavadar, and Hyderabad. Thereafter in 1971, it helped dismember East Pakistan from Pakistan. In order to keep its hegemony, it did not spare the Sikhs either, and labeled them as Hindus while simultaneously occupying their homeland. Even after all this, and accepting the UN Resolution of Kashmir, it has brought it to its constitution that Kashmir is a state and an integral part of India. It has also declared that Pakistan’s Kashmir will be taken back forcefully and added back to the Indian union. All these actions cannot supersede the UN Resolution which is still valid.

Although Pakistan’s Kashmir comprises of 4200 square miles, it is equivalent to any of the other five provinces of Pakistan yet it still has a President and Prime Minister which it should not have, and weakens Pakistan’s legal claim. Both of these posts need to be abolished and a governor and a chief minister of the province must be established to govern the province so that it is legally confined as a province of Pakistan leaving no room for argument. Therefore, Pakistan being the rightful owner of the entire state of Jammu and Kashmir must demand all of Kashmir from India which is a serial human rights violator. There is no such thing as an independent Kashmir, and there never will be. Its territory and its people are the rightful part of Pakistan.

More than 200, 000 people have been murdered by the Indian government in Maqbooza Kashmir. As such, we the inhabitants of Maqbooza Kashmir do not want to become peripheral states like Sikkim, Nepal, Bhutan, and Maldives. We are a natural part of Pakistan, and we will accede to them alone.
