THE DECISION OF HARI SINGH ON OCTOBER 27, 1947 HOLDS NO LEGITIMACY TODAY: HABIB YOUSAFZAI, THE CHAIRMAN KASHMIR DIASPORA ALLIANCE

ASSALAM-O-ALAIKUM!

The dispute of Maqbooza Kashmir is purely a territorial dispute between India and Pakistan. India had its eye on this region and since the initial creation of Pakistan never wanted this region fall into the hands of Pakistan. It felt and still feels that control of Kashmir is essential to its hegemonic aspirations. It was also successful in occupying three states; Junagar, Hyderabad, and Manawa along with the Sikh Homeland Khalistan. On October 27, 1947, on the request of Hari Singh the Hindu ruler of Kashmir, India sent there forces and occupied 42,000 square miles. In fact, once the British government backed the creation of Pakistan, the Hindu ruler of Kashmir was automatically no longer relevant as this was a Muslim majority state. As such, his request to call Indian armed forces holds no legitimacy. The state of Maqbooza Kashmir also had already decided to join Pakistan on July 19, 1947.

Unfortunately, India bribed leaders like Mir Abdullah (who was a leader just like Mir Jaffar and Mir Saddiq who were traitors). It is this betrayal which has led to the development of history as we see it today and through widespread propaganda has even effectively confused many. Rather than returning this territory back to Pakistan, the Indian government has ascribed the state into its constitution. There can never be peace between India and Pakistan until India hands over Maqbooza Kashmir to its rightful owner as already over 200,000 have been murdered there. Despite these sacrifices, the zeal to join Pakistan has not faded until this day.
