HABIB YOUSAFZAI ADDRESSED AN
EVENT ARRANGED BY THE MUSLIM LEAGUE (N) CANADA ON THE BIRTHDAY OF QUAID-E-AZAM,
MUHAMMAD ALI JINNAH THE SAVIOR OF THE MUSLIMS OF THE SUB-CONTINENT, A NOTABLE
POLITICIAN, FOUNDER OF PAKISTAN, AND FIRST GOVERNOR GENERAL:
ASSALAM-O-ALAIKUM!
Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born on 25 December 1876 in Karachi,
which was still a part of British-controlled India at that time. This day is
known as 'Birthday of Quaid-e-Azam', Quaid-e-Azam meaning Great Leader.
Despite Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s successes, for decades now it has
been the policy of Indian government to occupy or sever all those areas which
have gone to or which were supposed to go with Pakistan. At the time of
partition, it was agreed under partition plan that Muslim majority areas will constitute
Pakistan and Hindu majority areas will go with India. In regards to the 560 princely
states that existed, the rulers of these states were to decide the fate keeping
in view of the aspirations of the inhabitants and geographical contiguity. The
rulers of Manwa, Junagarah, and Hyderabad gave their verdict to join with
Pakistan, but India did not accept it with the objection that since all these
states have a Hindu majority, and geographical contiguity, as such they are
part of India. Despite the decision, Indian forces occupied them.
On the contrary, the Muslim majority state gave a clear-cut verdict
on July 19, 1947 under the Muslim Conference that the Jammu Kashmir state will join
Pakistan. Its Hindu ruler on the other hand gave his verdict to support India.
Hari Singh Dogra (the Hindu ruler of Kashmir) had no authority to pass decision
to join with India for two reasons, (i) the Kashmir region was surrounded and
linked by the areas where Pakistan founded, and (ii) the state had Muslim
majority and they had already passed a resolution in favour of Pakistan. In order
to keep its hegemony over South Asia, India when on a pursuit to occupy not
only parts of the state of Jammu and Kashmir but also other minority areas such
as Punjab, Khalistan. It did not stop its ambitions here, India further went
ahead and militarily intervened in East Pakistan in 1971, and dismembered it
from West Pakistan.
Pakistan could have liberated Maqbooza Kashmir in 1947, but
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru took this matter to UN which passed resolution that the
inhabitants of Jammu Kashmir will decide their fate in a plebiscite to join one
of the two countries. Instead of leaving and handing over the state to Pakistan,
they have been illegally occupying 42,000 square miles of the state of Jammu
Kashmir (also known as Maqbooza Kashmir) and 9 million inhabitants for decades.
India was able to collaborate with Sheikh Abdullah (AKA Mir Abdullah of Kashmir
a term synonymous to Mir Jaffar and Mir Saddiq the famous traitors of Indian
sub-continent) to get a resolution passed from the Maqbooza Kashmir Assembly
that Maqbooza Kashmir is one of its state and integral part of India.
India has also been successful in creating a division amongst
the Muslim’s of Jammu Kashmir as a result it succeeded in its mission to occupy
the Muslim’s territory. By continuous propaganda India has been successful in creating
and maintaining division among the inhabitants of this region. As such we are
in a situation where there are more than 1000 factions who are claiming to be representatives
of Maqbooza Kashmir. It is very hard to accommodate each and every faction in
the dialogue process. Without any question, had there been a plebiscite, each
and every individual would have been able to participate and decide to pick
either India or Pakistan. They would be able to decide their fate through just,
peace, and equitable means.
Only through persistent
determination of the nation of Pakistan and the sacrifices of more than 200,000
inhabitants (over and above the Jammu genocide of 1947) of Maqbooza Kashmir has
compelled India to come on the negotiating table with Pakistan to settle all
issues including Maqbooza Kashmir. Out of 9 million of its inhabitants, about
30 % are non- Muslims and have clearly shown their inclinations towards India. We
strongly condemn the Indian government from adding on to the ongoing thousands
of casualties over and decades, and initially in 1947 wherein more than 237,000
Muslims in Jammu region were butchered and vast majority were forced to leave

Again in order to fulfill its nefarious design, India is using VDC’s to kill
Muslims in Jammu to make it a Hindu majority region by ejecting the remaining

It is time we the inhabitants of Maqbooza Kashmir must trust our brothers the
nation of Pakistan who has equally suffered alongside us and paid a heavy price
to free us from Indian occupation. While Hindus are asserting openly their
allegiance to India, the Muslims of Maqbooza Kashmir should not shy away in
their claim that they are in fact rightfully a part of Pakistan as well. The
nation of Pakistan must stay vigilant while talking with India as their
previous ambassadors are full of traitors.
