Mr.President
I
would like to draw your kind attention on the Hunger Strike of Bibi Nirpreet Kaur
of Delhi relating
to the instigation and prosecution of the organizers of the Sikh genocide of
June and October 1984.
None of the Court of law has been able to prosecute the organizers of the
genocide, like Sajjan Kumar of the Congress Party, Jagdish Tytler and hundreds
more. Bibi Nirpreet Kaur started her hunger strike to force the law-enforcing
agencies and the state government administrators to arrest the culprits and
prosecute them. In a recent judgement of the court, Sajjan Kumar has been
declared innocent in the absence of a witness, although Bibi Nirpreet Kaur and
her family had been the victims of the Sikh massacre of 1984, in which Sajjan
Kumar had been one of the players of the genocide.
Mr.President
Unfortunately,
the Chief Custodian, The Akal Takht Sahib, Amritsar, Avtar Singh Makker,
President, Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandhak Committee, Amritsar and company
travelled Delhi in May 2013, and forced Bibi Nirpreet Kaur to break her
fast unto death. It had been the intimidation of the Chief Custodian
and President of the SGPC (Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandhak Committe) on
the citizens like Nirpreet Kaur to break her fast unto death. If such
actions would continue on the victims, the criminals may be wandering free
without punishments and will never be brought before the court of law.
Mr.President
If high
powered people's intimidation continues, then the victimized people like the
Sikhs, Dalits, Muslims, Christians, Adivaases, etc., will never be getting
justice from any court of law which delivers justice.
It is
requested to the Council (UN:HRC) that the minorities in India be
provided justice and solace to victims.
I
thank you, Sir
