Topic: Inter-Cultural & Inter-Religion Forum: Dialogue on Religious Intolerance
Time; 13:00 - 15:00 Hrs
Date: 12th June, 2013
Room: VIII
Moderator: Dr Charles Graves, President, Intercultural and Religious Forum (FICIR)

Taking part in the Dialogue on Religious Intolerance, Dr Sekhon introduced himself to the audience of more than 50 men and women from several countries and faiths as well. There had been seven panelists of the several faiths, including the Qadian faith. Dr Sekhon greeted the audience with Good afternoon and Aslaam O Alaikum to the Ladies and Gentlemen, Mohataram and Mohataramas.

To the knowledge of audience, Dr Sekhon said my name is Dr Awatar Singh Sekhon and I belong to the Sikh Religion, the 6th largest religion of our world and the culture as well, The Sikh culture. According to the Granth Sahib, the Holy Scripture of Sikhs, we have been taught "Aval Allah Noor Upaya Kudrat ke Sab Bande, Ek noor Te Sab Jag Upja Kaun Bhale ko Mande." We all are the same light of the Omni present God, who has created us. We can call Him Almighty Lord, Allah Tallah, Khudawand Bakhshinda, Waheguru ji, Akalpurakh, the Wonderful Lord. So, why to say that this is bad and that is bad. In fact, the religion does not teach us the bad things and create intolerance and animosity among ourselves. Religion does not teach us the intolerance. So, why to create difference among ourselves?

In fact, the intolerance has been imported or exported by the people who are highly intolerant. According to Lahori Ram Bali, a Dalit and follower of the Buddhist faith, "the Brahmins and their Hindu followers had been looking for the opportunity as how to spread intolerance." They got it when Ashoka, the Great, laid down or said farewell to arms and became the follower of the Buddh religion. The Brahmins and the Hindus availed their much waited opportunity and took up the arms, started genocide, massacre, rapes, pogroms, and human rights violations of the Buddhists. They pretty well wiped out the Buddh religion from the land what it is known as the largest democracy of the world, India.

As I believe, the Hindus-Brahmins, who are "neither a religion nor a culture," (see Discovery of India by JL Nehru and other Hindu and non-Hindu academics) are the highly 'intolerant' creatures. What we see in India in these days, one time the land of Buddhists people, is the intolerance bred by the Brahmins. Ladies and Gentlemen and the Chair, we have responsibility to weed out the word 'intolerance'. I wish you the very best.
