HAPPY NEW YEARS TO ALL IRRESPECTIVE OF CAST, COLOUR, CREED,
NATIONALITY, AND RELIGION: HABIB YOUSAFZAI, CHAIRMAN KASHMIR DIASPORA ALLIANCE
ASSALAM-O-ALAIKUM!
When we look
at how our lives work, we know that every night the sun goes down, and every
morning the sun must come up. Similarly, as one month ends, another begins, one
year ends, and another starts. For those who have been blessed and are
fortunate enough, we celebrate all of these moments. With this upcoming New
Year, we are lucky to be amongst the blessed category or segment of human
beings which can actually look forward to, and celebrate this event. As such,
to all those in this fortunate position, the Kashmir Diaspora Alliance would
like to wish a Happy New Years to you and your family, along with peace,
happiness, prosperity, and success in the upcoming year. However, the Kashmir
Diaspora Alliance would like to assert that there are people in the world, the
oppressed who celebrate none of these events. The sun rise is just another day
of terror and disappointments, the next month is just the continuation of
decades of oppression with no sign of ending, and The New Year is just another
year of broken dreams. Should we, as those fortunate enough to enjoy all these
moments turn a blind eye to all those unfortunate who cannot? As such, The
Kashmir Diaspora Alliance would like to assert that as we enjoy our New Year,
among our resolutions, or goals, and amongst our celebrations we should
remember that there are many which are not celebrating, and be both thankful,
and, strive towards assisting the oppressed by any means possible; whether
large or small. Once again, Happy New Years to all, and May Almighty Allah
(God) Bless you and your families.
