Chairman Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Shah Geelani Friday asked people to observe complete shutdown on January 26 to protest what he termed “ India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.”“India has no moral right to celebrate January 26 as its Republic Day while it continues to illegally occupy Jammu and Kashmir and denies the people of the region their internationally -recognized right to self determination,” Geelani said in a statement.
