THE VERY JUSTIFIABLE AND NECESSARY CAUSE OF KASHMIR: HABIB YOUSAFZAI KASHMIR DIASPORA ALLIANCE

ASSALAM-O-ALAIKUM!

You have provided an inadequate justification to delegitimize the cause and mass oppression of an entire populace; the citizens of Kashmir in occupied Jammu and Kashmir [AKA Internationally Disputed Areas of Jammu and Kashmir (IDA: JK)]. If you are unaware of the true purpose of the Kashmiri cause, and, the reasoning behind it, allow us to educate you. Firstly, we would like to clearly assert that on October 27, 1947, Indian forces illegally occupied (as per international law) forty two thousand square miles of Jammu and Kashmir and enslaved fourteen million innocent Kashmiris who are bona fide citizens of Pakistan. To this day, Kashmiris remain hostages in their own homeland. In order to suppress their voices of freedom, not a single day has passed over the last six decades in which dehumanization, oppression, and delegitimizing tactics have not been employed by the Indian government in order to maintain its illegal claim over the territory and its people.

The Kashmiri populace is under the oppression of Indian occupying personnel whose number exceeds 700,000. This has left the state virtually devoid of human rights. The human rights abuses of the past and present day cannot be ignored. The Indian regime and its armed forces have killed more than 202,802 citizens, made 215,994 arrests, 110,117 have disappeared, 115, 782 homes have been demolished, leaving 122,792 widows and 207,335 orphans. Indian forces have been committing crimes such as rape, torture, and gross human rights violations upon the innocent Kashmiris. These cruelties have been documented by international human rights organizations such as United Nations, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, International Educational Development, International Tribunal on Kashmir and many others. The deplorable fact is that nobody is there to listen to the agony of the Kashmiris that has lasted for over six decades at the hands of the alleged Indian democracy. Indian citizens have turned a blind eye to the wide scale oppression by their government of the illegally occupied and enslaved Kashmiri people. In fact, they have internalized the illegal and corrupt official government stance buying into the idea that the government operates under a “secular” agenda despite the dominance of the Hindu majority for the benefit of the elite within the nation.

The Kashmir Diaspora alliance along with Kashmiris and all human beings against oppression will fight until every single Indian armored and civil personnel are ejected from IDA: JK.
