KASHMIR’S FATE WAS ALREADY DECIDED SIX DECADES AGO UNDER THE BANNER OF THE MUSLIM CONFERENCE VOTE

KASHMIR’S FATE WAS ALREADY DECIDED SIX DECADES AGO UNDER THE BANNER OF THE MUSLIM CONFERENCE VOTE:
HABIB YOUSAFZAI, KASHMIR DIASPORA ALLIANCE

ASSALAM-O-ALAIKUM!

Due to the volume of comments and questions directed at me publicly and privately I am unable to provide answers to all those with specific queries. I would like to clarify that I have only one account which is under my own name, Habib Yousafzai. However, I do write for and represent a nongovernmental organization entitled The Kashmir Diaspora Alliance. I am not amongst those who are unconcerned for the Kashmiri cause and I do not have time to make fake accounts to “propagate information.” I do not need to create multiple accounts in order to spam others with information based on quantity. I will let the facts speak for themselves and put forward quality.

It is also important to realize that many individuals are amongst those who have extremely pessimistic and negative attitudes. Although they claim to both represent and help the Kashmiri cause, in truth, they cannot even help themselves and are a severe detriment to the emancipation of Maqbooza Kashmir. We must face the facts and realize at the time of partition, over six decades ago, the Kashmiri people already chose their fate when they decided under the banner of the Muslim Conference to accede to Pakistan. Taking into account that plebiscite is definitely a tool for the freedom of Maqbooza Kashmir now, we must also realize that it was an occupying power vis a vis the Indian government who originally asserted it take place through a UN resolution. Despite having a resolution created, it now serves as the fundamental impediment to the same illegitimate resolution it created in order to legitimate their occupation. Despite what nationalists of Azad Kashmir have been claiming, Kashmiris flocked in the millions to Pakistan during Hari Singh’s reign of terror in order to be free of persecution. Today, 30 million Kashmiris live in Pakistan. This fact alone coincides with the territories original accession through the Muslim Conference vote mentioned earlier. Although in Maqbooza Kashmir there are 12 million Kashmiris, we are living in a constant state of oppression and fear at the hands of the occupier.

Maqbooza Kashmir seeks to take its rightful place as a part of the Pakistani state. Our interests are vehemently opposed to the overwhelming minority of Azad Kashmir nationalists who despite only having 4200 square miles which was liberated by the Pakistani state would like to make their own “sovereign state” based on secularism. However, the fact remains that it is not in Maqbooza Kashmir’s interests, nor would does it encapsulate its legitimate concerns to accede to Pakistan on the basis of secularism. We are being oppressed by the Indian government due to our religious beliefs and affiliation. As such, our claim for our rightful accession to Pakistan is based on religion as per the original two nation theory which divided the Indian subcontinent.
