Maqbooza Jammu and Kashmir Mr.Mohammad Yousuf Naqash during a meeting with the
president of Belgian Association for Solidarity with Jammu and Kashmir Mr. Barsmans
Paul said that Government of India is not sincere in respect of resolution of
Kashmir Dispute and is hell bent on its un principled, illogical and
unrealistic policy viz a viz Kashmir and has the malicious intentions of strengthening
its forced and illegal occupation on Kashmir. But the reality is that the
illegal and forced occupation of Kashmir by India is intolerable for the people
of Kashmir and they will keep on resisting it at all levels and by all means to
get rid of it. India has not only cost heavy loss of men and material in
Kashmir, it is also looting the resources of Kashmir and destroying its
economy. Mr. Naqash reminded Mr. Paul that
world has recognized and acknowledged the inherent Right to Self Determination
of People of Kashmir through Kashmir specific United Nations resolutions and
its endorsement by both Pakistan and India but India deviated from its commitment and betrayed the People of Kashmir and continues with its oppressive policies and tactics through
military might in a bid to suppress the inherent Right to Self Determination of
Kashmiri People. While as Pakistan not only recognizes this inherent right of
people of Kashmir, also continues to extend moral, political and diplomatic
support to the people of Kashmir in their urge and struggle for achieving
inherent Right to Self Determination which has also been recognized by the
constitution of Pakistan. Mr.Naqash apprised Mr. Paul that people of Kashmir very
much aspire for peace but peace is a distant dream and impossible in the
presence of Kashmir Dispute and posses potential devastating threat to the
human lives and economy of the whole world including subcontinent and South
Asia. As such it is in the best interest of India if it shuns rigid, obdurate,
unrealistic and unprincipled policy viza viz Kashmir and takes the sincere,
constructive and sustained initiative for the just, honorable and lasting
solution of Kashmir as per the wishes and aspirations of its people in the
light of United Nations Charter on the Principle of Right to Self
Determination. Otherwise lingering dispute will prove dangerous and devastating
for the world humanity. In that case India shall be responsible for such
situation. Mr.Naqash made it clear to Mr. Paul that Indian occupation is never
acceptable to the people of Kashmir and India will never succeed in curbing and
suppressing the inherent Right to Self Determination of Kashmiri People. Mr.Naqash
said to Mr. Paul that so far thousands of international delegations and
dignitaries visited Kashmir and took stock of the dangerous and uncertain
situation but unfortunately could neither help in putting end to gross human
rights violations perpetrated by Indian forces in Kashmir nor took any
initiative for the just, honorable and lasting solution of Kashmir and some
among them are partial, working for serving Indian colonial interests in Kashmir and
people of Kashmir are wise enough to identify them and they cannot succeed in deceiving
Kashmiri People. Mr.Naqash asked Mr.Paul that the recent revelation about the
Indian parliament and Mumbay attacks by the senior intelligence officer of
India should be an eye opener for international community that India keeps on
conspiring against freedom struggle of Kashmir and Pakistan.
